Company History

Adaptive Ecosystems, Inc., formerly S.W. Parker & Associates, was founded in 1997 as a sole proprietorship, primarily focusing on ecological studies and Corps regulatory compliance issues. The company founder, Stephen Parker, was formerly employed in the Corps of Engineers Regulatory Program. Our project work expanded to include National Environmental Policy Act Compliance and the design, construction and monitoring of natural areas.

In the fall of 2002, S.W. Parker & Associates responded to a growing need in the market. Our new name, Adaptive Ecosystems, Inc. reflects the integration of science-base design in planning, compliance and implementation of projects. As a full-service firm we provide informed natural resource planning in the early stages of projects. Where regulatory permits require mitigation, we provide design, monitoring and sign-off.
