*   South Dakota Department of Transportation
The South Dakota Department of Transportation is building two roads through the Black Hills National Forest. The NEPA process for these projects require a biological evaluation for impacts on sensitive species and their suitable habitat, as well as a specialist report for impacts to Black Hills designated species of local concern, management indicator species, and the presence (and absence) of particular species. Adaptive Ecosystems is working with Mergen Ecological Delineations to complete the flora field surveys and to prepare the Biological Evaluation Reports in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act for these two projects.
