Wetland Studies
Adaptive Ecosystems, Inc. works with the U.S Army Corps of Engineers and other pertinent agencies regarding wetlands regulated under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. Through field site investigations, we map and measure wetlands, identifying the location, size, and type of jurisdictional waters on the project site. Based on these investigations, we collect information regarding soil types, plants, and water conditions. We then use this data to inform the client of resources on the project site, giving the client the option to either plan around those resources or to apply for a permit to impact those resources.
Our staff has combined experience in over 1,000 wetland determinations throughout the U.S. (Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, Illoinois, Ohio, Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming) and uses current technology in mapping wetlands, including GPS.
