Section 404 Permitting
Many projects involve impacts to Waters of the United States, regulated by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. Adaptive Ecosystems, Inc. staff biologists have completed over 1,000 wetland determinations and delineations, assessing the need for Nationwide and Individual Section 404 Permits. Section 404 Permits often involve complex coordination with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regulators and other state and federal agencies regarding the extent of impacts and mitigation requirements. Our staff biologists have developed a working rapport with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other state and federal agencies responsible for wetland regulation, compliance, and mitigation. With an experienced staff, Adaptive Ecosystems, Inc. has the ability to ease the burden of the permitting process by:
| • | Conducting jurisdictional determinations |
| • | Submitting Nationwide and Individual Section 404 permits |
| • | Consulting directly with agency officials |
| • | Assisting in the design process |
| • | Consulting and/or designing with regards to mitigation measures |
| • | Assisting in Section 401 (State Water Quality Certification) |
